Certified for Drinking Water
LOCTITE 55 is NSF/ANSI 61 certified for use in commercial and residential drinking water systems at temperatures up to 82 °C. It is also approved according to BS 6920 and meets WRC and BGA KTW requirements for cold and hot drinking water.
In addition, LOCTITE 55 complies with EN 751 2, Class ARp, and carries DVGW approval. The product is also certified for hydrogen applications according to GASTEC QA AR 214.
High Temperature and Pressure Resistance
According to Henkel, LOCTITE 55 is suitable for typical applications at operating temperatures up to 149 °C. The product has also been successfully tested for steam compatibility at 130 °C and 0.17 MPa for 1,000 hours.
Easy Application
Simply wrap the sealing cord around the cleaned male thread in the direction of the thread. Cut the required length using the integrated cutting tool, press the loose end onto the thread and assemble the fitting. Since LOCTITE 55 does not require curing, the connection is immediately ready for use and can be readjusted by up to 45° if necessary.
