LOXEAL 83-54 High-Strength Threadlocker, High Temperature Resistant

LOXEAL 83-54 is a high-strength anaerobic threadlocker designed for locking and sealing studs, nuts, bolts, and other threaded fasteners where regular disassembly is not required. The product is suitable for all metals and cures anaerobically between close-fitting metal surfaces.

Thanks to its high breakaway and prevailing torque, LOXEAL 83-54 provides reliable and durable locking of threaded connections. It offers excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, vibration, water, gases, oils, hydrocarbons, and many chemicals. The operating temperature range extends from −55 to +200 °C.

According to the LOXEAL technical data sheet, resistance to a 50% water/glycol mixture at 87 °C is rated as “excellent” after 100 hours and “good” after 1,000 and 5,000 hours.

Application: Clean and degrease the metal surfaces before application. Apply LOXEAL 83-54 in sufficient quantity to completely fill the thread gap, assemble the components, and allow the product to cure. On passive surfaces or at low temperatures, LOXEAL Activator 11 can be used to accelerate curing.

Note: The available technical data sheet does not state any drinking-water or food-contact certification, such as KTW-BWGL or NSF/ANSI 61. Resistance to water should therefore not be interpreted as approval for drinking-water contact.

*The data sheet states a general full cure time of 24–36 hours, while 5–10 hours is specified under the stated M10 test conditions.
